Hound Dog is a digital imaging studio serving artists, photographers, and advertisers that is designed to be client interactive.
Within is a series of semi-private, visually secure digital salons where clients collaborate with the Hound Dog staff retouching images. Separating the digital salons from the commons is a "banana wall" that goes from thintothicktothin creating a sense of implied privacy.
Using one of the oldest techniques to create color, as a foil to the digital way, the banana is tinted with a purple plaster, considered one of the hardest colors to achieve. Sanded plexiglass panels above allow light to subtly fill the space.
